Hunting season starts early!!
The spring / summer has been great we've had plenty of rain so the grass plots are plentifull providing Whitetail etc with lots feed so expecting more horn growth again this year. We are considering starting the Whitetail hunts earlier allowing archery , muzzleloader & crossbow hunts Sept. 1 - Oct 31 , if interested let us know . Also a possibility of a fall Black Bear hunt due to the abundant population.
We've been out in the forest clearing trails that had huge trees blown over on them mostly due to the strong winds lately .The leaves are out fully now especially after the warmer weather and rains . Saskatchewan is doing better with Covid restrictions how ever other provinces still behind . Still looking good for this years Whitetail season , keeping our fingers crossed , we should see some nice growth on the Bucks this year with the mild winter and not much hunting since we didn't have any Canadian or American hunters .
Borders are open to fully vaccinated visitors
Wow what a season it was for our hunters, survived blizzards and 22 inches over night creating a " snow day " , thanks to all for their understanding " it is what it is ". We put away the quads with tires and brought out the tracks and snow machine with trappers sled ! the only way to get around . We havn't had to use a snowmobile for ever. The bucks are bumping the does more like chasing them off the baits but no serious business yet .?? Make sure you download the ArriveCan app makes life much easier at customs . Over all wasn't a bad season
